Kaamil Adams is the founder and driving force behind Adams & Co. (Pty) Ltd., a purpose-built group of companies delivering holistic services in education, sport, digital media, and lifestyle transformation. His professional journey reflects a deep commitment to youth development, academic excellence, and community upliftment — values that are embedded in every subsidiary of the Adams & Co. group.

Achievements and Qualifications

Kaamil is a qualified and experienced educator, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental & Geographical Science and Media & Writing from the University of Cape Town, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). During his academic journey, he completed a diverse range of elective courses that include Economics, Financial Management, English Literature, Arabic, Business Ethics, Linguistics, and Political Science — a foundation that informs both his leadership and his multidisciplinary approach to business and education.

He also holds a Certificate in School Leadership, Management and Governance from Rhodes Business School, adding strategic and operational insight to his role as both educator and entrepreneur.

Experience

Kaamil has taught a wide range of subjects including Geography, Life Orientation, and Physical Education at leading schools such as St. Andrew’s College in Grahamstown (Makhanda) and SACS in Cape Town — both world-renowned for their academic and sporting excellence, where he also contributed to sporting programmes across multiple sports and boarding duties respectively. His teaching is grounded in his belief in holistic education, and his passion for building strong, principled young people.

In the world of sport, Kaamil has held several key leadership roles, including:

• Director of Rowing at St. Andrew’s College, Makhanda

• Head of Rowing at SACS (South African College Schools)

• Head Coach & Club Manager at the University of the Western Cape (UWC)

• Assistant Women’s Head Coach at the University of Cape Town (UCT)

Throughout his coaching career, Kaamil has not only achieved numerous national-level awards, but has also helped guide athletes into some of the world’s top academic institutions — including the University of Oxford and Yale University. His mentorship is driven by a vision of long-term growth that combines sporting excellence with educational opportunity.

He is also a certified Advanced First Aid Responder (Level 3) and holds a Professional Driving Permit (PDP), further equipping him to serve in both educational and logistical capacities, particularly when it comes to transporting students or managing event logistics.

The Drive

Kaamil’s entrepreneurial drive led to the founding of three distinct service brands under Adams & Co.:

• Adams Academy – delivering 1-on-1 and group coaching, academic tutoring, and performance mentorship for student-athletes.

• Immediate Media – providing creative and digital services for individuals and brands including social media management, content creation, and e-commerce support.

• Your Space – offering deep cleaning, organising, and lifestyle solutions to restore and maintain functional, inspiring environments.

All three arms of the company contribute to the Adams & Co. Foundation, a non-profit initiative that channels resources, time, and expertise into social impact. A portion of all business revenue is invested into projects that bring sport, education, and empowerment to underprivileged youth and grassroots organisations.

Whether mentoring young athletes, building brand identities, leading coaching programmes, or managing clean-ups and logistics, Kaamil’s mission remains the same: to transform spaces, people, and futures — with purpose, professionalism, and care.
